Estate Planning: We work with individuals and families in preparing Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trusts of various types, Health Care Powers, Advanced Medical Directives, Prenuptial Agreements, Buy-Sell Agreements, and other estate planning and business succession documents. Our advice focuses on minimizing transfer taxes consistent with accomplishing our clients' goals.

Estate and Trust Administration: Our Estate and Trust Administration practice includes probating Wills and administering decedent's estates; advising personal representatives (executors) and trustees; and, when appropriate, serving as the personal representative or trustee on behalf of family members. We also represent fiduciaries and beneficiaries in court disputes involving estates and trusts, such as Will contest cases and interpretation of Wills and Trusts.

Commercial Transactions and Litigation: This practice area involves representing parties in commercial and real estate transactions, the sale and purchase of businesses, and the formation and maintenance of business entities, such as corporations and limited liability companies. We also represent clients in court in connection with business disputes, as well as workplace legal issues and disputes relating to Wills and Trusts.

Employment Law: We advise management on a full range of workplace legal issues, including hiring, discipline and firing procedures; compliance with wage-and-hour requirements; federal and state discrimination and harassment laws; employee handbooks; and restrictive covenants (non-compete agreements). We also represent employers in workplace-related litigation, arbitration, mediation and agency proceedings and we represent executives and professionals in contract and severance agreement negotiations.

Tax and Tax-Exempt Organizations: We provide tax advice to high net worth individuals in connection with our Estate Planning practice. We also obtain tax rulings for businesses, public charities and private foundations and advise them on tax issues and audits.
